About us

Who we are:

We’re based in Sherwood Park, Canada, and Glasgow, UK. We help small businesses and independent folks use the web to their advantage. Don’t worry, even if you’re new to using computers and the internet, we’ll get you up to speed in no time!

You’ll like us because we can help you with your marketing strategy from print, to web and interactive. We’re full of great ideas but we’re still small and accessible. We believe in a creative process that involves our clients every step of the way.

Chemistry Communications was created by Laura Underwood, Most of our projects are collaborations between Laura and John at Quivering Spaceboots. We’ve also got a lovely group of freelancers who lend their talents to make your projects shine.

Edmonton Professional & Aspiring Photographers Weekend

John & I were invited to take part in a “An Enriched full Weekend of Photography”, organized by the Edmonton Professional & Aspiring Photographers Group on Saturday, February 27th.

It was a great group, and a great venue. Many thanks to Georgette Boyer for organizing the event, and to Leanne Barker for hosting us. Leanne’s residence is full of wildlife and interesting finds to photograph, and it offered us all a wonderful experience. Some of my snaps from Sunday’s shoot will be posted on my Flickr page this week.

We made a presentation on marketing for the group on Saturday, providing some information that will help aspiring photographers to market themselves online. From creating a website to blogging, and extending your marketing efforts to SEO and social media, internet marketing can be a huge undertaking.

We hope that we were able to give the group an overview and help them to decide where to get started with their own business’ marketing efforts. Here are some resources that may be helpful for the group, or for any other photographers who are looking to get started with marketing themselves online.
